okay...so i'm a little late on updating. but what can you expect? i'm a busy person! i have tons of things to do and plans to make!
nah, thats a complete lie.
it's pretty boring over here most of the time, actually. okay..not BORING, i'm in australia! but right now, until school starts, i have a lotttt of free time and not much to do with it since im low on funds and don't have a car here.
so let's see...what has happened in the past...six days? well tuesday night we went out to the club which was aweeesome [sarcasam]. flo [from france] got punched by the bouncer for miscommunication first off...next, you have to have two forms of ID at the door. an ID like a liscense or something, and a bank card. yep, a BANK CARD. why the heck would i need a bank card to get into a club? they let me "slide" this time [how kind of them] and when we did get inside, you actually have to PAY two dollars to get upstairs where the DJ is just to dance! redic. so that was a bust, and i'm pretty sure a waste of time..oh well. the most fun we had was waiting in line to get in...for an hour. [not sarcasm].
so let's see..next was wednesday and i really have no idea what happened because i couldn't even remember what we did yesterday! must be unimportant. throughout the week we went to mooloolaba [another town on the beach] to walk around the outdoor shops and little restaurants and cafe's, and to walk along the beach. it's not nice enough to swim yet cause it's so cold and it's actually been raining her..drizzling i should say..for the past two days.
on friday we went on a bus tour of the sunshine coast and that was fun! we went up to noosa which apparently has the best beaches on the coast and is the CUTEST little town. i can't wait to go back. then we traveled down the coast and everyone was asleep for the end of the tour haha.
william and i have finally succeeded in skyping, which is a relief, even though the time differences allow us to only skype early mornings or late nights.
today [sunday] was a pretty relaxing day. i went to the grocery store and finally found some food i could keep down because everything here sucks! i can't believe how bad some of the food is here! but i ate tomato and fresh mozzarella and some rosemary bread and a banana and nutella for dessert. yumyumyummm. everything else here sucks ESPECIALLY the veggie burgers. UGH its disappointing how gross they are. and black bean burgers don't exist here! i don't know how i'm gonna live without them. BUTTT there is a place in mooloolaba called raw energy thats a vegetarian/vegan cafe and i saw they have a "mexican 5 bean" burger on their menu so i'll try that out this week and hopeeefully it'll be delicious.
so tomorrow is monday and therefore the first day of classes. but not for me! each class you take is three hours long. a two hour lecture, and then a one hour tutorial where you discuss the notes you took in the lecture. but for the first week of classes, you only have to attend the lectures. tomorrow, i only have a tutorial ["tuts" [toots] as they're called here] so i don't have any classes tomorrow, and neither does emma. ande does, but tomorrow night we're all gonna go see inception i hope, cause monday nights are half priced movies for students! ony $8! ..since they're regularly 16 here, thats pretty great.
now i'm headed to bed, after sleeping in today until 1:15pm [normally i'm up at 6 or 7am] but oddly enough, i'm tired.
wellll, i guess thats not that weird.
anyways! this is the end for now i guess. i can't think of anything else necessary for an update.
i'll update again tomorrow and try to do it every day, but internet here costs $40 for 3 gigs. i've been here a week and have already used up 2. which means it's gonna be around $100 a month for internet in my room. things just keep getting cheaper and cheaper... =]
